Our sweet little tiny house

I'm sure most of you are intrigued by the fact that we, a family of 4 (currently because yes...i'm that crazy lady that wants more children even though we live in an Rv lol) live in less than 400 sq ft full time and by choice.

So today, I'm going to give you a tour of our lovely tiny house.  I think most if not all of you will be skocked and impressed with (A) the size of our trailer and (B) just how home-like it actually is.

We bought a 2017 Sierra 372LOK.  Its almost 43ft long with 4 slides.  It's a fifth wheel type trailer meaning it load into the bed of Alstons truck.  Before we bought the trailer we also had to purchase a truck that could handle this heavy of a load.  So Alston drives a 2012 F350 dually ... I call him Tank lol

We shopped for a long...long...time before buying our home.  To the extent that Aubrie was quite the customer... she could tell the salemans exactly what we needed.  One guy showed us a 1 bedroom... Aubrie politely looked at him and said "where is livy and me going to sleep?" lol

So any-who.  Back to our tiny home.  Our must have things in the trailer were (A) a full size residential refrigerator (B) a true livingroom area apart from the rest of the trailer (C) a separate bedroom for the girls (D) ability to install a washer and dryer and (E) a bathtub. We only had to give up 1, and that was the bathtub.  And very surprisingly is thatthe girls actually enjoy playing in the shower.  We have hot water on demand so you have to be in there for a VERY long time before running out of hot water.

Here is our home and Tank

This is the view if you were sitting on the back couch.  That railing up above that door is the girls loft that we have books and other quiet toys.

The loft or as the girls say "reading room".  Aubrie is responsible for organizing and straightening this are.  Momma big helper!

This is what the girls room looked like when we bought the trailer.

This has been one of my favorite rooms & projects!  Within 2 hours of signing the papers we had started building this for the girls.  My super handy (sexy) Husband and my fabulous dad built this for the girls.  The drawer under the bottom bed will eventually be a trundle for the next baby. I painted the bed a crisp white from Valspar and the walls are Lilac Bouquet, also from Valspar.   The opening for this area is 73.5X33...which meant we had to buy custom mattresses.  We scored mattress from jet.com that measured 74x33! 6 inches thick and are so so comfortable. The bedding is from Target.  We chose a mermaid themed room.  Again, because the beds are not a traditional size we had to be resourceful.  Thank the Lord my mom can sew.  We bought a full size sheet set, which gave us a flat, fitted and 2 pillow cases.  My mom made 2 fitted sheets and use the extra to make that super cute valance at the top.  The quilts are also from target.

This is the face of one VERY excited little girl!  I finished painting their room while she was away with Mimi and Poppi.

The girls have a build in closet in their room.  That black area is technically for a Tv, but I think we have decided to pass on that and maybe hang a piece of artwork or a mirrow...make it like a vanity.

The kitchen 💜
I love everything about my kitchen.  I have a pantry with no-slam sliding drawers in it.  That beauty of a fridge has an ice maker in it too.  I have a swivel commercial style faucet and double deep sinks.
I found this gem of a table at HomeGoods... turned this small dead space into this mommas favorite area COFFEE BAR.  The baskets I added to hold sippy cups, my essential oils, paper plates and napkins.

This is our family table.  We eat, do school work and have bible study time at this table.  I knew we had to have a designated area for this.

Backed up to the table is our entertainment center.  It has a built in fire place which can help heat the living room up to the girls room.

I wanted a livingroom with a big comfy rug that the girls would lay on and watch movies.  I found this run at TJ Maxx and its perfect!

This bathroom is quite big, which makes it nice since of course everyone wants to be in there if you're in there lol

The "Master" bedroom

The bed lifts and we have storage under there... very handy! and to the left is a dresser with a Tv above it.
And here are the my lifesavers! My washer and dryer WHOOP WHOOP! yes, they do full size loads of laundry and they dry everything.  Even Alston super thick work clothes.

And another thing was just made us so excited about this trailer was that is had an outside kitchen!  This was the first mid-bunk model that we saw with this option.  Cooking inside in the dead of summer is SOOOO hot.  So this will be a huge blessing this summer.
Our kitchen has a swivel around gas grill that is attached to the bumper a mini fridge, an over head cabinet area with 4 shelves, a sink and faucet and a prep area.  It's perfect!
